Contaminated Peanut Butter???
Friday, February 16, 2007
Yes, we have the Peter Pan peanut butter with the lucky number 2111 on the lid. I've already thrown it out and put my handy dandy lid in the mail to Con-Agra for my little $3-something refund. It was nearly brand new, so far no salmonella from those few scoops we ate.

If you haven't heard about the peanut butter recall see this link for the full story.

thanks for the info. my husband and i have been sick all week (headachy; sore throat) and joked that maybe it was from the peanut butter toast we had last weekend. but we had skippy!

We had the peanut butter as well - over 3/4 gone! But, no signs of sickness here.

Glad you are feeling better!

Thank goodness we have Skippy. I didn't even hear about this yet.

We threw out 2 (both opened) jars! So sickness here either, but I wish I'd read your post first...I'd have saved the lids first! I've been casually reading your blog off and on for a long time. I found your blog when we were thinking about adoption too. I keep coming back because I want to see your happy ending. Lots of people out in cyber space are praying for you, I think.
