Easy Bake Oven Recipes
Saturday, February 03, 2007
I found a website with recipes for the Easy Bake Oven! Those little packets are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive!

Add to that huge price gauging, the package recipe for the Fudge-stripes Shortbread D and I just baked said to bake them for 11 minutes and they're burned to a crisp - errrrghhh ;O/

She got the oven for Christmas and it's the newer model that doesn't use a lightbulb anymore.

Is it a microwave? If it doesn't use a lightbulb, then what does it use?

I bought one for my friend's daughter this Xmas, too. Every recipe we've made says to bake for longer than it really should. I go by smell. When they smell done, they're done (usually 3 minutes or so less than the recipes state).

I don't know about you, but I miss the lightbulb. It's not an Easy Bake Cake if it's not overcooked on the edges and kind of raw in the middle!

p.s. The Dora cinnamon cookies smell awesome.

Those things ARE outrageously priced. That's great that you found the site. I think we sold ours in a garage sale because we weren't paying the prices for those outrageous packages. Too bad now. Of course, all my girls are now to the real cookie baking age, big stove and all. The boys might enjoy it though. I think I might have a chef in one of them.
